CFA and SGX renewed MoU

In November 2018, China Futures Association and Singapore Exchange Limited have renewed the MoU originally signed in 2013. In the past five years, the two organizations have arranged a series of cooperation such as training, information sharing and mutual education. In order to further cooperate with each other, CFA and SGX decided to continue to work together to promote both China and Singapore derivatives market in the years ahead.

  On April 26, 2018, Secretary General Wu Yajun had a meeting with Mr. Fang Meicheng, CEO of Singaporean UOB Bullion and Futures. Mr. Wu introduced the current development and operation of China's futures and derivatives market. Mr. Fang gave an introduction of the business status of UOB Bullion and Futures in the Asian market and its strategic plan in the Chinese market. The two parties also exchanged views on hot issues such as how to better promote the internationalization of China's futures industry.

  On Jan 9, 2017, Mr. Keith Noyes, International Swap and Derivatives Association(ISDA) Asia Head visited the association and met Mr. Wu Yajun, Secretary General of CFA. ISDA and CFA signed a MoU in December 2015 regarding information exchange, regular meeting, training and conferences to strengthen cooperation in industry education. On 14th November 2016, just before the opening event for the Bürgenstock conference for commodities and derivatives, a new Memorandum of Understanding(MoU)was signed between the ICDA and the China Futures Association.
