On September 19, 2016, Chairman Wang Mingwei and Vice Chairman Zheng Xiaoguo met Commissioner Sharon Bowen from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the delegation group. Commissioner Bowen introduced that the CFTC has formulated a proposed rule, known as Regulation Automated Trading or Regulation AT, to represent a series of risk controls, transparency measures, and other safeguards to enhance the U.S. regulatory regime for automated trading.
Chairman Wang and Commissioner Bowen also discussed the framework of investor protection and the differences in regulatory requirements between China and US regions. Both parties agreed to continue to a regular communication in the future and cooperate when in due course.
